I spend a lot of time looking at beautiful things, particularly ceramics and glass,  to buy for my business, some I don’t buy but I do research them and take photos for future reference, so I thought it would be nice to find a way of recording some of these items as an information source for other collectors and people interested in beautiful things.  So this blog is just a gallery of lovely things from all periods and for all uses, with a little bit of information and even some pricing guides on occasions.

If you have any questions about any of the items featured please feel free to contact me. The antique cup and saucer here is for sale on  Antik Seramika’s website.  It’s a Hampson and Broadhurst imari souvenir cup and saucer from Southport but follow the link for more info.

  1. Hi I have some Wilton Ware which I would love to sell to an enthusiast and you mentioned an Ian Dufour who was AGHJ’s grandson who was collecting his ancestor’s work. Do you think he would be interested in the soup tureen and bowls which I have? Maybe you could pass my email to him, or give me his contact details?
    Many thanks

    1. Sorry Helen, I lost contact with him some time ago. I would love to see photos of the tureen and bowls though.
